Soft Woods:
- Pressure Treated Pine. Treated with preservative under high-pressure. An economic choice for a long-lasting outdoor structure. Many applications of pressure treated pine are warranted for upwards of 40 years.
- Western Red Cedar. This is one of the most popular decking choices in central Texas. It is durable and highly resistant to decay. There is a wide variety of natural colors – from light brown to salmon pink. It is important to seal cedar to retain its natural color. After a year, untreated, it will begin to fade to a more silver/gray look.
- Red Wood. Highly durable and resistant to decay, redwood is a top choice for decking construction. Over time, if left untreated, it will fade from its dark red to a more yellowish-red or dark gray over time. When treated, red wood will last for many years.

Hard Woods:
- IPE (ironwood). IPE is the highest quality timber that can be used in exterior building. It has the longest life of all woods and is the most dense of any type of wood. IPE is an imported hard wood with a natural decay and insect resistance comparable to pressure treated pine. IPE Heartwood, is typically reddish brown, sometimes with a greenish tinge, often with lighter or darker striping. High rating for insect (termite) and decay resistance. Offers 40+ year lifespan.
- Tigerwood. Tigerwood is one of the finest quality hardwoods available that features a unique light golden-brown to reddish-brown hue with exotic black and brown streaks. Tigerwood is an exotic hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot and decay, it is extremely durable, and offers a 25+ year lifespan without preservation treatments.
- Angeluim AKA Angelwood. Angelwood is a Brazillian hardwood with a high mineral content. It ranges from yellow to tan in color and tends to have a distinctive dark red and brown grain. It is a highly durable timber with strong resistance to rot, termites, and fungi.
